Champlain Place, Atlantic Canada’s largest shopping centre, is only a 10 minute drive away. This shopping destination features 140 stores and services, with Cineplex Cinemas Dieppe, Chapters and the only Canadian Bass Pro Shops location east of Ontario nearby. Drive an extra 5 minutes, and you have access to the Mapleton Shopping Area’s big box stores. Downtown Moncton, 10 minutes away, showcases independent retailers, with coffee shops and restaurants close-by.
Arts and Culture
Moncton is becoming well-known for bringing top-notch summer concerts at the Magnetic Hill Concert Site. Nearby, The Centre venue at Casino New Brunswick offers year-round concerts and special events. Both locations are about 20 minutes away from our hotel. The Moncton Coliseum, 15 minutes away, offers concerts performances and various trade shows.
If theatre is what you have in mind, the Capitol Theatre hosts live stage productions of Theatre New Brunswickand Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada, as well as symphony orchestra and dance performances. It is located a little over 10 minutes away, along with its adjacent Empress Theatre, and Théâtre l’Escaouette a few streets away. The McSweeney Company Dinner Theatre, is also located downtown.
Looking to admire local art? Art galleries are scattered throughout Greater Moncton. Artists are also present at both the Moncton and Dieppe Farmers’ Markets.
Amusement Parks and Family Attractions
Atlantic Canada’s largest zoo at Magnetic Hill Zoo, features over 400 animals and is only 20 minutes away. While you’re in the area, if you’re looking to splash around, Magic Mountain Waterpark is fun for the whole family, and now includes a variety of amusement rides and a classic arcade. Magnetic Hill’s Boardwalk also features various activities such as batting cages, a driving range, go-karts, water attractions and mini-putt. Also check out Butterfly World – an indoor garden that is home to hundreds of exotic, free-flying butterflies.
RESURGO Place is a state-of-the-art facility where Moncton heritage, technology and discovery intersect. RESURGO Place houses both the Moncton Museum and the Transportation Discovery Centre and oversees other heritage sites. Explore interactive exhibits that will captivate the whole family!

Transportation Discovery Centre – Discover Moncton’s moving history while enjoying interactive exhibits and hands-on activities for all ages.
During hockey season, check out the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Moncton Wildcats. Or do you prefer basketball? The Moncton Miracles, part of the National Basketball League of Canada, also play at the Moncton Coliseum, only a 15 minute drive away from our hotel.
Would you like to play sports, rather than watch? There are plenty of golfing facilities in the area, but the Fox Creek Golf Club is considered a championship course, and it’s located less than 10 minutes from our hotel. For indoor sports, the Dundee Sportsdome (16 minutes away) allows you to play paintball, soccer and golf and rain or shine! The CEPS at Université de Moncton is just over 10 minutes away and which features an indoor track and a 37.5 metre swimming pool with diving towers. For cyclists, a velodrome is located in Dieppe.
Moncton’s surrounding areas offer many day trips to choose from. Check out New Brunswick’s popular Parlee Beach Provincial Park, only 18 minutes away from our hotel.
A 40 minute drive brings you to Hopewell Cape and its famous Hopewell Rocks. Stay for a full tidal cycle to get a full appreciation of the tides and formations, and you’ll see one of the highest average tides in the world!
A little over an hour’s drive away, you can visit the Fundy National Park, with over 100 km of hiking and biking trails and over 25 waterfalls. Visiting the park is also an option during winter, as it’s available for day use at your own risk. Interested in driving an hour north instead of south? The Kouchibouguac National Park includes barrier islands, sand dunes, lagoons, salt marshes and forest.
The Confederation Bridge, an hour away, offers quick access to Prince Edward Island.
